Getting baby to sleep can be a challenge
Babies are little individuals, there are babies who sleep peacefully all through the night and there are those that don’t! Getting baby to sleep can be a nightly battle for some parents. If you’ve tried absolutely everything to get your baby to sleep, here’s some things that may help.
How long does your baby sleep for during the day? Is your baby napping too much in the daytime? Babies circadian rhythms are not as well developed as ours and this could mean that they tend to sleep during the day and stay awake for a good part of the night. Probably not really what you want! If you have time, try to provide some stimulating activities with your baby during the day to keep them awake a bit longer. Avoid over-stimulating baby so he’s overtired though. An overtired baby is a restless baby.
Probably the best way to train baby that bedtime is for sleep is to have an established baby sleep schedule that you can follow easily every night. This is just a series of steps you can go through each night in the same order every single night. This prepares baby for sleep and will establish a routine in baby’s subconscious mind that it’s time to go to sleep. This schedule can be as simple as a bath and a bedtime story. This may sound simple, but it works really well.
Make sure baby’s environment is secure and peaceful. Avoid late night games or anything that may stimulate baby too much. Keep these types of activities for mornings. Make sure baby is comfortable, not too hot or cold and that his room is quiet, although some sounds such a fan or an ambient noise machine may help baby relax.
Getting baby to sleep may be difficult, but just remember this won’t last forever. As your baby grows older, things will become easier.

I am thankful you made this helpful post to parents who are getting tired taking their babies to sleep every night. For me, it is better if you will not let your babies do a lot of activities or games when it is late afternoon so that he will not be restless and he will not cry in the middle of his sleep.
