im tired all the time now and it is seriously getting me down! i think it start when i first began sharing a room with my sister, shes quite a heavy breather so this disturbed my sleep and now i have got it into my head that i wont get any sleep. i use earplugs to try and help but it doesnt always work, especially lately.
I have tried herbal tablets which dont seem to do much help either, and i dont want to use sleeping pills. i worry at night, but not because of everyday stresses, i only worry about not getting enough sleep, so therefore i dont get enough sleep! i really need some help !!! i dont know what else to do now. please write back! louise x
Hi Louise
You sound very stressed which is probably the main cause of the problem. Trying to force sleep to come will only make it harder, as I’m sure you already know. I have personal experience with this problem and what works for me is distracting my mind with a boring CD. Any CD will work so long as it’s someone speaking. This draws the mind away from worrying about sleeping as you focus on what the words are saying
Also read the article http://www.insomnia-connection.com/mind-control.html – this works if you keep at it. Try some relaxation exercises before going to bed so that you are in a relaxed state.
Reading works for some people as it also takes the mind off worrying.
Hope this helps!
