    I’m one of those people that have a really hard time dealing with stress and anxiety. How do you deal with stress and anxiety?

      Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.
      Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI – Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
      But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There’s this strange herb called “St John’s Wort” – it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John’s Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.
      The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced… you have that “learned behavior” in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior – Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction… There are several other techniques to help cope them!

      Having hard time dealing with stress and anxiety lately? Everybody does. But some people have the knack of knocking them off every end of the week, by the start of the week some who working at the office built up the stress whether in school or at work but when the end of the week they find pleasure on playing with their favorite games like tennis/volleyball/basketball or simply going out with set of friends going to malls for window shopping or whatever until the stress and anxiety syndrome fade away. Why not simply do that. Some even have to go to gym for boxing lessons to get out their stress boxing another person to a pulp let out steam after that they feel so relieve. Boxing is one of the best stress reliever knocking your opponent out but I wouldn’t recommend it to soft hearted individuals. So find a useful hobby like painting/sculture/playing the guitar because some say music relieves the savage beast in all of us. Listening to your favorite music like jazz/blues/reggie/rock etc. can remove the stress in our daily lives. And for this have this 40 tips on living:
      1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
      2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
      3. Buy a DVR and tape your late night shows and get more sleep.
      4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, ‘My purpose is to _______.
      5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
      6. Play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
      7. Make time to practice Meditation, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
      8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
      9. Dream more while you are awake.
      10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
      11. Drink green tea and plenty of water… Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
      12 . Try to make at least three people smile each day.
      13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
      14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
      15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
      16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
      17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
      18. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
      19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
      20. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
      21. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

      38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
      39. Enjoy the ride. Remember this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

      Well the way I deal with stress and anxiety is by listening to soothing music, squeezing a rubber(not really but it helps), doing a hobby that takes my mind off of the stress such as playing guitar or drawing. I wouldn’t suggest you pop pills cause they don’t do much and they give side effects.

      it’s different for everyone. if you’re an active person, exercising and taking a bath afterwards is an option. if you’re not, take a nap. it won’t resolve the problem that’s bothering you, but it’s a temporarily and relatively fast method to deal with those problems.

      Find a few good friends that you can trust. Chat with them to relief stress. It worked for me.
