  1. sleep apnea itself doesn’t effect your ability to exercise. it causes you to sleep poorly, which makes you tired during the day. often people with sleep apnea are overweight. if you can force yourself to exercise and lose some weight then it may actually improve things overall.

If you still feel tired you need to have another sleep study. Do you have a machine you use when you sleep? Get checked again. There are new changes in this field all of the time.

It affects how rested you feel, but not your physical ability to do the exercise.

sleep apnea will cause daytime fatigue, which will in turn also affect exercise. But another daytime fatigue causer is what is known as metabolic syndrome, also known as insulin resistance. If you have any history of diabetes in your family, and have not been recently tested, ask your doctor to check for that as well. Usually the fatigue will occur about an hour after eating a meal with carbs, the fatigue is so strong, you can’ t help but want to sleep, not talking about being tired, I mean, you fall asleep. As for the sleep apnea, since you say you have it, I’m assuming you have been tested. If you have your bipap machine, use it. It’s very uncomfortable, but after you sleep a few nights with it, you will find the rest you get is so good, you don’t know why you didn’t do it sooner.

yes your muscles need time to repair. Cut all caffeine out and if you sill have a problem go see the DR. to get some drugs

sleep apnea a lot of times in contributed by weight…if you are overweight…exercising and helping shed those extra pounds help and may even take away your sleep apnea…it did for me! Start taking some vitamins for energy or call your doctor…are you on a breathing machine at night?
Good luck…I hated when I had this…it was very scary to wake up and not be able to move..god knows all the times I didn’t even wake up but was getting no oxygen!

My friend with sleep apnea feels that way, and it just keeps getting worse. You need to get to a doctor, and get the CPAC machine, no matter what it takes. My friend keeps saying that he has no insurance, money, doesn’t want to hit up his family for money, and so on, so he gets worse every month. He cuts back on food and still gets fatter, can’t stand for two games of Wii sports in a row, falls asleep whenever he is the slightest bit bored (stoplights, commercials, at work) and always feels like crap from exhaustion.
My friend keeps trying to work out a way to get health insurance so he won’t have to pay for all this, but he can’t so he keeps getting worse. Treatment for sleep apnea could happen for $700-$1200, so he (and you) need to figure out who to borrow the money from and get on this. There is no way to work more hours, exercise better, or any of that if you can’t stay awake or have the energy to do it. Pop CPAC machine into your browser–the companies that sell them may have cheap ways to get doctors to prescribe them.
Please figure out a way to get to the doctor, even if you have to pay for it in borrowed cash. I think your only other choice is to let this problem get worse until you become a shut-in or die.

I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea, and asthma. I have found that in the last year, my ability to work out has drastically declined. because of what I thought was allergies now known to be asthma, i use an indoor treadmill, and I went from being able to walk jog between 4-5mph to being winded at just 2 mph. I continue to try anyway, hoping to increase my lung capacity and improve my health.

  12. i would defently think so, working out takes energy and power witch you get from sleeping so i think that it would.
