Adult Nightmares — A Reader’s Question

  • Sharebar

hi i have been haveing bad night mares for a couple of weeks can u help me plz

Hi

You don’t say whether your nightmares have started suddenly or not. If they have you have to look for something that has happened at the same time these nightmares started. Are you under a lot of stress at the moment? This is one of the primary causes of nightmares and, if this is the case, tackling the cause of this stress will cause the nightmares to cease.

Have you been sick recently? Are you taking any new medication? These things can also cause nightmares.

The above are the leading cause of nightmares. However, here’s a tip – eating late at night just before bed energises the brain and increases dream activity.

I hope this helps. Remember nightmares are unpleasant but they are a natural clearing of the subconscious mind. Seek medical advice if they go on longer than a few weeks.

Cheers

Wendy

  1. I used the Panic Away method. I didn’t want to use medication and this seemed like the best option for me.
