Finding the best snoring cure

Those who snore might be amusing, but if you sleep with a person that snores each night and it’s loud then gets irritating. This is why it’s vital to know how to cure the snoring. Here are some methods of curing it:

Snoring occurs due to a blockage in our breathing passage, mainly at the throat area. This might happen due to reasons such as tensed throat, wrong positioned jaw, or stuffed nose. Practicing deep breaths so as to relax the throat and make breathing normal helps. Sometimes nasal congestion also causes snoring. What may aggravate it is when the person tends to breathe through his mouth. It is recommended to take decongestants which will clear the blockage and give relief from snoring. Certain allergies cause enlargement of adenoids. When these allergies get cured, the snoring problem is usually solved.

If the person is extremely fat, most probably he snores. This is because the fat concentration in the air tract limits the air to move in and out freely. And the fat that is formed in the stomach limits the diaphragm not to function properly, thus snoring occurs. Well around 40% of the obese or people who are overweight snore. Exercising regularly and maintaining a proper diet can reduce the weight and you stop snoring, there are many more effects and health risks which come along by being obese. Snoring can also be as a result of sleeping in a wrong position and sometimes sleeping with too many pillows can make the air passage widen or narrow. To avoid this use one pillow. Also, sleeping on your back can be one of the reasons to snore, so changing the sleeping position can do wonders in this aspect.

Snoring can be caused by a medical condition or it can be caused by smoking and drinking, so to maintain a good and healthy lifestyle one should refrain from smoking and consuming alcohol. You will often find that this is the best snoring cure. Sleep can be classified into two periods: REM where a person frequently dreams and is in a deep sleep, and Stage 1 sleep which is experienced during falling asleep but can also be experienced several times when a person is sleeping poorly. Both these types can trigger unstable breathing causing a person to snore. Irregular sleeping habits can also cause unstable respiration resulting in unstable breathing while sleeping.

Congestion-causing mucus can make it hard for you to sleep (or hard for others, as you snore). Flush out the mucus with store-bought saltwater nasal drops or create your own. Mix 8 ounces of sterilized water with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and let it cool to about 98 degrees. Put the solution in a nose dropper.

It is very important to determine the exact cause of your snoring. Snoring can be caused by serious conditions like sleep apnea and enlarged adenoids or tonsils. For these conditions there are surgical procedures, such as Laser Assisted Uvula Palatoplasy (LAUP), radio frequency tissue ablation (RFTA), or Somnoplasty that can be of help.
