For the past month I have slept maybe 4-5hrs a night. Before that i loved to sleep, usually 8-9hr each night. Here what my schedule looks like Monday – Friday I work 5pm to 3:30 am, then come home and im usually in bed by 5am and wake up at around 9am or 9:30. I dont know why i cant sleep. I’ve worked that schedule for about 6 months now so my body should be used to it by now. Usually once im awake i dont get tired again until about 8pm but i cant go to sleep cause i’m at work. I dont have much stress and i dont have kids, so i cant figure it out. Any suggestions??? I just dont want to go to the doctor cause I hate talking about myself and i dont know if they ask a whole bunch of different questions. I would love to have some sleeping pills thu!!! Even on the weekends when i have nothin to do i still wake up early. Like this morning i was up at 4:30am, i went to bed around 11pm.

Some people have an adaptation to sleep requirement. It becomes evident as age progresses.. I routinely get between 3-6 hours of sleep, depending on what has taken place during the day. You may consider taking a nap before work.. making sure it is no longer than 30 minutes. Anything more will leave you groggy rather than bright and alert.
I’ve battled not being able to sleep my whole life, You have to set a patteren and a routine a stick to it. Try a nap around 2 pm.
Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
I have a few ideas.
try a nice warm bath and before you get in the tub take a baby aspirn that you can chew, sounds to simple dosent it?
I think it would be best to go see a doctor,.so you could know whats going on and ask them question that we can not answer maybe.
I’ve struggled with insomnia all my life- and I’m barely 22. I don’t have ADD, I’m not hyperactive, I don’t do drugs, I don’t consume caffeine, and my mind is always clear at time of sleeping. I’m more of a “who cares” person, so I don’t tend to worry about external issues around me. I only need to sleep about 3 to 5 hours to feel like new, when a normal perspn needs between 6 to 8. I need darkness to sleep faster, but I feel tired during the day?? It takes an hour or two for me to sleep at night, even if I’m tired as hell. My grandpa is a Doctor, and he can’t explain himself why am I more tired dring the day instead of during the night, he made a joke saying that I might have to live in Europe because of the difference of times, that way I’ll sleep during the night haha.
